Synopsis

Ghostbusters meets Invasion of the Body Snatchers in this bromantic sci-fi comedy from Hot Rod and Saturday Night Live director Akiva Schaffer. Ben Stiller plays an uptight Costco manager who founds a neighbourhood watch group to help track down a skin-stealing serial killer. But his motley recruits, Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill and Richard Ayoade, are more adept at beer-swigging than crime-fighting - until they discover that aliens are living in their midst.
Co-written by Jared Stern, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the script has a tendency to fall back on lazy cock jokes, with some uneasy xenophobic and homophobic undertones. But the four charismatic leads do what they do best and deliver their one-liners with enough panache to (just about) keep the laughs going.
