Black Widow

Black Widow

Synopsis

Debra Winger's DA is drawn into Theresa Russell's web of murderous intrigue

About

Russell and Winger, who have to be two of the most under-rated actresses around, are the sparring partners in this clever little thriller. Russell plays a serial hubby-hunter who kills off her sugar daddies once she's wormed her way into their wills. She's chased by Winger's DA - a scruffy, self-conscious workaholic whose professionalism falters in the dazzle of her prey's glamorous lifestyle and overt sexuality. The film's success is largely down to Rafelson's menacing direction and Winger's convincing struggle with temptation.
