Horror comedy, that marks the directorial debut of Holland, who made his name with the screenplays for The Beast Within and Psycho II. Convinced that his new neighbour, Dandridge (Sarandon), is a vampire horror fan Charley (Ragsdale) turns to the only person he believes can help him - his hero, host of local TV show Shock Theatre Vincent (McDowall).
