... And Justice for All

... And Justice for All

Pacino is a lawyer frustrated with the inherent injustice of the judicial system. When he takes it upon himself to defend an arrogant judge charged with rape, he knows that he is out of his depth, but the principles of his profession oblige him to give his client the best defence he can. Under Jewison's sometimes heavy-handed direction ... And Justice for All shifts uneasily between comedy and melodrama.

In a nutshell

Pacino does his best with a well-meaning but unfocused script, which often concentrates too much on politics, thus failing to do justice to its characters.
