Review

A generally under-rated later effort by French master Renoir, Paris Does Strange Things stars Bergman as the Polish Princess who quickly becomes the toast of the town, charming the men of 1880s Paris, but she seems immune to all the broken hearts around her. Bergman is exquisitely cast, and the romantic comedy sparkles. Even if ultimately this is not one of Renoir's best efforts, assured direction and a biting script show some of the old magic.
