Lili

Lili (Caron) is a French orphan who runs off with a circus troupe. She attaches herself to miserable puppeteer Ferrer, but when he does not have time for her, she makes friends with the puppets themselves. An agreeable little musical fantasy that tries a touch too hard to be charming, and as a result is not as lovable as it might be. Caron is as cute as a button, and the Oscar-winning songs are impressively delivered.
