Marlon Brando
Born in 1924 Brando, a rebellious youth, was taught by Stella Adler on his arrival in New York in 1943. Imbued with The Method, he impressed on Broadway and won the first of his five Oscar nominations in the his second film, A Streetcar Named Desire
